The batteries will degrade over time but you'll have ample warning before having to drop between a few hundred and a grand on a refurbished battery. You will be buying a new EV before the battery had degraded to an unusable point. Hybrid batteries last 150k+ miles. Don't worry, just drive.
Failure Date: 01/23/2020. The contact owns a 2013 Ford C-max hybrid. The contact stated that the radio operational after the vehicle was turned off causing the battery to drain.
